Generation requires a saved job with a description long enough to provide useful role context.
AI cover letter generator for Australian jobs already saved in Aply uses your profile and evidence library to create a job-linked PDF with a view-only preview.

Generation requires a saved job with a description long enough to provide useful role context.
Aply selects relevant evidence and asks the model to use only the supplied applicant facts.
Read the view-only text, verify each claim and regenerate after correcting source data when needed.
Aply ranks saved evidence against the job and instructs the model to avoid unsupported claims. Human verification remains part of the workflow because an AI draft can still be wrong.

A successful generation creates a PDF and text companion linked to the job. Aply currently provides a view-only preview, so factual changes start in the profile or evidence library before regeneration.

The applicant remains responsible for accuracy

How saved jobs, profile evidence, Australian formatting, previews and PDF output work.
Aply's generator works from a job already saved to the applicant's account. The job must have a job description of at least 80 characters. This is a job-linked workflow, not a public text box that accepts any URL.
Generation loads the saved profile, evidence library, job title, employer and job description. The prompt tells the model to use only those facts and to avoid invented metrics, employers, qualifications or achievements. AI output can still be wrong, so applicant review remains necessary.
The saved profile provides details such as the applicant's name, current role, location, experience and preferred tone. Evidence items provide verified achievements or facts. Aply ranks evidence against the job title and description, then supplies the most relevant items to the generation prompt.
If evidence does not support a requirement, the prompt instructs the model to use the closest genuine strength or address the gap honestly. The system does not have independent access to employment records, so the applicant must confirm that every claim is accurate.
The generation prompt requests Australian English, a professional salutation, three or four paragraphs, a 200 to 350 word body and a clear sign-off. Post-processing removes a governed list of weak or formulaic phrases and flags output that is unusually short, long, or missing the company or job title.
These controls improve consistency but do not promise an interview or make the output automatically correct. Workforce Australia recommends a simple professional layout, accurate information, tailoring to the job advertisement and a final review before submission. Read the Workforce Australia cover letter guidance.
A successful generation creates a PDF and a text companion, stores them in the applicant's document library and links the document to the saved job. The dashboard provides a view-only preview. It does not currently provide an inline cover letter editor.
Review the employer name, role, evidence, dates, wording and sign-off. If the draft contains a problem, correct the saved profile or evidence and generate it again. The PDF is the document used by supported application flows when a cover letter is required and available.
