Automated Job Application Workflow in Three Steps

1

Set accurate preferences

Complete the profile, search filters, explicit answers and approved document assignments.

2

Claim an eligible job

Aply selects an active supported queue item and verifies that the intended documents are available.

3

Run Hands-Free or choose Review

The extension completes supported steps, parks uncertainty and records the acknowledged outcome before moving on.

Job Matching

Job Search Filters before Auto Apply

Aply uses saved role, location, industry, salary and exclusion preferences to rank jobs. Matching helps organise the queue; it does not predict employer decisions.

  • Active rewritten jobs only
  • Role, location, industry and salary preferences
  • Duplicate and ineligible job filtering
  • Applicant controls the match threshold and review mode

Supported Form Submission with Exact Documents

The extension acts in the user's signed-in browser, verifies the active run and attaches the assigned document rather than silently choosing a fallback.

  • Portal credentials stay in the browser session
  • Exact approved resume required before continuation
  • Job-linked cover letter used only when available and required
  • Unsupported external flows skip or park cleanly

Safety Controls

Auto Apply Questions, Review and STOP Controls

Ordinary questions can use saved facts and explicit answers. Sensitive, unsupported or low-confidence questions pause for the applicant, and STOP blocks further form actions.

  • Sensitive questions never answered by a general model guess
  • Review mode pauses before final submission
  • STOP invalidates further actions from the current run
  • Stale tabs and run tokens cannot complete a newer attempt

Guide

Hands-Free AI Auto Apply Details

How the hands-free AI extension matches jobs, completes fields, handles answers and records submissions.

Job Application Queue and Matching

Aply starts with jobs in its Australian database and application flows that are explicitly supported. Saved titles, locations, industries, salary preferences and exclusions help rank the queue. A match score is a product filter, not a prediction that an employer will respond.

Before a supported application can run, Aply needs an accurate profile, the required answers and an exact approved resume. A job-linked cover letter may also be generated when the job has a sufficiently detailed description. The queue does not make missing qualifications true or turn an unknown answer into a guess.

Chrome Extension for Supported Job Application Steps

The Chrome extension runs supported form steps in the user's browser. The user signs in to the job portal directly, so the portal password is not sent to Aply's API. The extension claims an eligible queued job, opens the supported form, fills known fields, attaches the assigned documents and reports the outcome back to Aply.

Document selection is strict. The extension must establish the exact approved resume assigned to the job. A missing file, stale assignment, filename collision or hash mismatch parks the run rather than substituting another document.

Hands-Free AI Applications and Optional Review

Hands-Free mode submits supported applications automatically when login, the assigned documents and required ordinary answers are ready. Optional Review mode pauses before final submission so the applicant can check the job, answers and attached documents.

An unanswered, sensitive or unsupported question parks the job for the applicant. Health, criminal history, work rights, checks, profile visibility and similar decisions are not inferred from a general language model. Saved answers can be reused only when they match the current question and the applicant has supplied the preference.

Auto Apply Safety for STOP, Login and Completion

The extension exposes a STOP control during a run. After STOP is acknowledged, STOP prevents further page actions and the run is reported without claiming a successful submission. A stale tab or old run token cannot complete a newer job attempt.

If portal login is required, the same tab pauses for the applicant and can resume after sign-in. Completion acknowledgement is retried within a fixed bound. The queue must not advance to another job until the current attempt has reached a recorded outcome.

Automatically Apply to Jobs with Accurate Answers

Aply answers ordinary form questions from saved profile data, explicit preferences and a reviewed answer bank. Supported controls include common text fields, select menus, radio buttons and checkboxes. A governed fallback can handle known custom widgets, while low-confidence or unsupported controls are parked.

Hands-Free mode automates the application, but it does not invent a missing fact. The extension stops when accuracy, consent or document identity is uncertain.

Job Search Source and Portal Availability

Portal availability depends on authorised integrations and the application flows enabled in the current extension release. A job appearing in Aply's database does not by itself mean its employer portal supports automated submission. External applicant tracking systems and unsupported flows are skipped or parked.

Aply should be used only with a real account, truthful applicant information and jobs the person genuinely intends to apply for. Provider terms, technical approval and current product status determine where live automation can be enabled.

Auto Apply Setup Checklist

  • Complete the profile. Check identity, work history, skills, work rights and application preferences.
  • Approve the right documents. Confirm the exact CV variant intended for each target role.
  • Install the current extension. A version gate can require an update or pause all runs.
  • Sign in yourself. Keep job-portal credentials in the browser session.
  • Choose Hands-Free or Review. Hands-Free is the primary automatic-submission mode. Select Review only when a final check is wanted before submission.
  • Monitor parked jobs. Resolve unanswered questions instead of allowing the system to guess.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does auto apply work?
Aply ranks jobs against saved preferences and profile data. The AI Chrome extension claims an eligible job, completes supported fields in the user's browser, attaches the assigned documents, and submits automatically in Hands-Free mode when the required information is ready.
What is the difference between Hands-Free and optional Review mode?
Review pauses before final submission. Hands-Free mode submits supported applications automatically when login, documents and required ordinary answers are ready. Either mode returns unresolved sensitive or unsupported questions to the applicant.
Can I review applications before they are sent?
Yes. Review mode stops at the final review point. You can inspect the form, the attached documents and the view-only cover letter preview, then continue or stop the run.
Which job sites does Aply support?
Aply supports only portal flows explicitly enabled in the current product and extension release. A listing in the jobs database is not proof that its external application form is supported. Check current in-product status before relying on automation.
What happens when Aply cannot answer a question?
The job is parked for applicant input. Sensitive, consent-related, low-confidence and unsupported questions are not guessed. Once the applicant supplies a suitable answer, the workflow can continue where supported.
Where are my job-site login credentials stored?
You sign in directly on the job site in your browser. The extension uses that browser session for supported form steps; the portal password is not sent to or stored by the Aply API.
What happens when I press STOP?
The current run is marked as stopped, further form actions are blocked, and the extension reports the stopped outcome without advancing as though the application succeeded.
Can I use Hands-Free Auto Apply on any job portal?
The hands-free extension works on application flows enabled in the current release. Unsupported external systems are skipped or returned for manual review, and provider terms still apply.
