Salary: $73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro Rata) plus 12% superannuation.

The Deloraine District Hospital is a 20-bed acute care facility providing palliative care, post-surgical care, and general medical care. The Role

This position requires:

• Knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing evidence-based care.
• Assisting in the collection of comprehensive clinical data from patients, their families, and carers.
• Establishing priorities for patient care delivery in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.
• An understanding of relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and codes of practice.

Details of Appointment

This is a fixed-term, casual, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working as and when required. The appointment is for approximately 24 months, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.

Salary and Allowances

The salary range is $73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro Rata). A 12% employer superannuation contribution is additional to this amount. The salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Additional allowances may be available, calculated on the salaried incremental point:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.
• Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse, holding a Board-approved qualification in the administration of medicines.
