Cairns Private Hospital, located in tropical Cairns in far north Queensland, Australia, is a modern facility offering a broad spectrum of medical and allied services. Our Rehabilitation Ward at Cairns Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its team. In this role, you will contribute to patients regaining health, confidence, and functional independence through person-centred rehabilitation care. You will work within a modern environment, benefit from collaborative multidisciplinary support, and have access to ongoing education and professional development programs.

The Rehabilitation Unit provides inpatient programs including:

  • Falls prevention
  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Reconditioning programs
  • Neurological rehabilitation

We are looking for a positive, motivated, and adaptable clinician with sound critical-thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and strong time-management capabilities, who delivers care with compassion and clinical excellence in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting.

Requirements include:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a Rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster.
  • A strong commitment to teamwork, quality improvement, and patient-centred outcomes.
