Albury Wodonga Health is seeking motivated and compassionate Registered Nurses for its 2027 Mental Health Transition to Specialty Practice Program. This is a two-year training program offering opportunities for permanent employment upon successful completion.

Begin your career in mental health within a dynamic environment, supported by experienced clinicians and the Mental Health Professional Development and Practice Team. The program provides exposure to varied services, including acute inpatient units, continuing care teams, and community programs, serving the community across the lifespan. Support is provided through a full orientation, supernumerary period, workshops, study leave, and scholarships for postgraduate qualifications.

About Albury Wodonga Health Mental Health and Wellbeing Services

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service offering mental health treatment, care, and support, including Alcohol and Other Drugs services. The service comprises 10 specialised community-based programs, three acute care services, and three recovery and rehabilitation facilities. AWH also supports families coping with parental mental illness and facilitates connections to carer consultants. The Mental Health and Wellbeing teams consist of clinicians with backgrounds in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, experienced in various therapies. This diversity offers extensive experience to expand and embed clinical practice skills.

About the Role

The Mental Health Transition to Specialty Practice Program is designed for Registered Nurses looking to launch their career in mental health with Albury Wodonga Health. This comprehensive two-year program aims to guide novice practitioners to become confident and skilled Mental Health Clinicians.
