Are you an administrator seeking job security and work/life balance? This Permanent Part Time role supports services focused on delivering high-quality end-of-life care to older individuals within their residential aged care homes.

You will provide confidential, hands-on administrative support, encompassing reception duties, correspondence management, data entry, and the upkeep of key Queensland Health systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, comfort with health systems and Microsoft Office, and the capacity to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and composure.

About Us: The Central Queensland Specialist Palliative Care in Aged Care (CQ SPACE) project is designed to enhance access to specialist palliative and end-of-life care for residents in aged care facilities. This initiative aims to enable individuals to remain in their preferred care setting and reduce unnecessary hospital admissions. Funded by the Australian Government's Better Quality of Care initiative, CQ SPACE assists residents in all accredited Residential Aged Care Facilities and eligible Multi-purpose Health Services across Central Queensland. This project complements existing care structures, building upon the work of aged care nurses and GPs by introducing specialist support, while ensuring that clinical responsibility remains with the resident's primary care team.

About the Role:

  • Maintain accurate data entry and proficiency in computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Queensland Health clinical systems such as HBCIS, The Viewer, and Dragon Medical Workflow Manager.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively through good time management and problem-solving capabilities.

About You:

  • Experience or familiarity with Queensland Health systems (e.g., HBCIS, The Viewer, Winscribe) is highly regarded.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related applications is required.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills, enabling professional, sensitive, and discreet liaison with staff, external agencies, and the public.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team and achieve objectives within established timeframes and procedures.
  • Well-developed organisational skills, including the capacity to prioritise tasks, manage workload flexibly, and meet competing deadlines.

What We Offer: Total remuneration value of up to $20,116 p.a. comprises:

  • An hourly rate between $39.98 – $44.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.

  • Flexible Work-Life Balance and Variety.
  • Generous Salary Sacrificing Options.
  • Paid Parental Leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Discounted Private Health Insurance.
  • Fitness Passport.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements: It is a condition of employment for this role that the employee is, and remains, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.

  • Your current CV or resume, including referees.
