Location: Northfield Work Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $107,487 - $114,917 per annum, plus superannuation and salary packaging.

About the Role

This position involves leading the delivery of high-quality healthcare within a correctional setting, providing support to both patients and staff. As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will blend clinical expertise with leadership duties, working in close partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager. Your responsibilities will include supporting service delivery, coordinating the workforce, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the daily leadership of nursing services.
  • Coordinating care and fostering positive patient outcomes.
  • Assisting with rosters, staffing, and workforce planning.
  • Guiding and supporting the development of nursing staff.
  • Driving quality improvement and practice change initiatives.

About You

You are an experienced nursing professional with a passion for leading teams, supporting colleagues, and delivering safe, person-centred care.

Essential criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration.
  • Ability to lead teams and support high-quality nursing practice.
  • Capacity to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Skill in managing priorities and supporting service improvement.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding nurses through coaching and support.
