About the Role Join a dynamic interprofessional team dedicated to supporting over 200 learners across Eastern Health, with a specific focus on those undertaking general nursing rotations. The Clinical Nurse Educator for the Transition to Practice (Graduate) program is accountable for the delivery of program requirements across all Eastern Health sites. This includes program marketing, bulk intake recruitment, supporting learner health, wellbeing, and performance, liaising with the graduate representative group, planning, delivering, and evaluating formal profession-specific and interprofessional study days, monitoring program requirements, and planning learner rotations throughout the health service.

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Unconditional AHPRA registration.
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Clinical experience with education programs, including experience in clinical practice supervision of learners (students, graduates).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, influence, and motivate staff, and to contribute to and foster a positive learning culture.
  • Demonstrated organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership, and conflict management, to facilitate effective team functioning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:

  • Leadership or participation in education and research.
  • Experience with recruitment of novice learners using values-based recruitment.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Experience in interprofessional education.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement for this role. An offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
  • Those offered and/or starting between January and April do not require an up-to-date influenza vaccination to progress, provided they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
  • Those offered and/or starting between May and December require the up-to-date influenza vaccination prior to offer.
  • Vaccination and screening for immunity to vaccine-preventable disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.
  • A National Police Check must be completed if shortlisted.
