Clinical Facilitator - Port Macquarie & Northern NSW

First Choice Care is seeking a Clinical Facilitator in Port Macquarie for casual, onsite work.

A Clinical Facilitator is a registered nurse actively engaged in current nursing practice. This role involves supporting nursing students during their off-campus clinical practice by fostering the development of their knowledge, attitude, and clinical skills appropriate for their experience level.

First Choice Care Nursing Agency provides Clinical Facilitators to universities and tertiary education providers, contributing to the guidance and development of future nurses. Due to significant demand, we are looking for Clinical Facilitators across Sydney to join our team.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will possess a passion for learning and sharing your nursing experience with students, along with the following essential skills and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• An unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• A Bachelor of Nursing degree.
• Completion of the Short Course - Clinical Facilitation: Essential Skills and Principles (or work towards this).
• Demonstrated high-level verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise with individuals, clinical teams, and educational teams to achieve required outcomes.
• Demonstrated high-level written communication skills to a very high standard, with the ability to effectively draft, edit, and proof documentation, and complete written assessment and evaluation forms on students.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective problem-solving strategies to address issues while utilising high-level organisational skills.

The following are desirable:

• Previous experience in Clinical Facilitation, Nursing Education, training, and/or teaching.
• Completion of Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
• Completion of a preceptorship or equivalent.
