Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Mental Health) Department of Health - Queensland Southport full-time onsite

This role facilitates opportunities for learning and excellence in clinical education, workforce development, and growth through the coordination and delivery of best practice education services and research within our Robina and Southport Mental Health and Specialist Services.

The Role

An opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator - Mental Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH). Our team of 14,000 focuses on delivering world-class health care to individuals in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Supporting the Mental Health Nurse Educators in fostering a culture committed to continual evidence-based practice.
• Supporting the Nurse Education Team within MHSS in delivering education-based programs for yearly mandatory training compliance.
• Supporting the professional development of various career pathway programs.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will require:

• A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia.
• A postgraduate qualification within Mental Health Nursing is highly desirable.
• Membership of, or affiliation with, the Australian College of Mental Health Nursing and the Australian Nurse Teachers Society will be well regarded.
• Evidence of vaccination, or the ability to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.
• Tuberculosis screening to identify if tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
• Disclosure of any serious discipline history.
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover the cost).

Salary

This is a permanent full-time position. The base salary ranges from $113,979 to $122,048 per annum.

The Mental Health Nurse Education Leadership Group is a centralised team led by an Assistant Director of Nursing, Education, alongside Nurse Educators and Clinical Facilitators. Clinical Facilitators work to develop, promote, and maintain excellence in all areas of nursing across the directorate.

Each Clinical Facilitator (CF) position is aligned to specific service lines within MHSS. This Clinical Nurse (Clinical Facilitator) position is aligned to the MHSS Acute Community Mental Health Service Line.
