Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service

Murgon

Salary: $113,979 - $122,048 per annum (pro rata) Work type: part-time Location: remote

As a Clinical Nurse with Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality care and provide support to patients, families, and colleagues across the service. Through clinical leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will work towards enhancing health outcomes and fostering a positive care experience.

Your daily contributions will include:

  • Coordinating person-centred care for patients presenting with complex and varied health needs.
  • Providing clinical guidance and mentorship to build team capability and confidence.
  • Leading quality and safety initiatives aimed at improving outcomes and mitigating risk.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of seamless, evidence-based care.

You are a competent and compassionate nurse who demonstrates integrity in your leadership and supports others to perform at their best. You maintain composure in complex situations, build strong relationships, and are dedicated to achieving excellent patient outcomes. You will find satisfaction in contributing to a positive team culture and making a significant difference within your community.

To thrive in this role, you will possess:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Advanced clinical skills and experience in coordinating care within complex settings.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.

A postgraduate qualification relevant to your practice and/or experience in a rural or remote healthcare environment would be advantageous.
