The Role This executive opportunity involves providing strategic, operational, and professional leadership for a regional hospital campus. Reporting to the General Manager Hospital Services, with a professional line to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. This includes driving workforce capability, operational excellence, and clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visible executive leadership across the hospital campus.
• Lead nursing services, workforce planning, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
• Drive clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety outcomes.
• Collaborate with Executive Directors and senior leaders on strategic service plans.
• Champion innovation and contemporary models of care within clinical services.
• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams and future nursing leaders.
• Represent the organisation with community stakeholders, government agencies, and healthcare partners.
• Lead emergency management responsibilities for the campus.
• Ensure operational performance aligns with organisational strategy and healthcare standards.
• Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Nursing Directors, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure exceptional care delivery across the campus.

What We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Leadership, and/or Health Management.
• A minimum of five years' experience in a senior nursing leadership or executive healthcare management role.
• Demonstrated success in leading large multidisciplinary teams within a complex healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, accreditation, and risk management.
• Proven experience in workforce planning, organisational change, and service improvement.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across executive, clinical, and community stakeholders.
• A strategic mindset with a strong commitment to innovation and patient-centred care.
