Altaira Services is seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our team, providing care within Private Acute Care settings across Adelaide and its surrounding regions. This is a casual, onsite position.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care aligned with care plans, hospital policies, and ANMC standards.
• Providing patient-centred care to address acute clinical, physical, and psychosocial needs.
• Safely administering medications and treatments within your scope of practice and hospital protocols.
• Working under the direction and delegation of Registered Nurses, promptly escalating any patient deterioration or clinical concerns.
• Monitoring, assessing, and reporting changes in patient condition, including vital signs and clinical observations.
• Maintaining accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation within hospital systems.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Practising within your scope, maintaining accountability and adhering to clinical governance and hospital procedures.
• Keeping clinical knowledge and competencies current through ongoing professional development.
• Assisting in coordinating patient care activities in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Providing supervision and support to Assistants in Nursing (AINs), students, and junior staff as required.
• Participating in the orientation and support of new and agency staff.
• Contributing to quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control initiatives.
• Building professional relationships with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Reporting clinical incidents, risks, and near misses according to hospital reporting systems.
• Responding to clinical emergencies and deteriorating patients as required, including participation in rapid response systems.
• Complying with hospital Quality, Safety, and Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Identifying and reporting clinical and environmental risks to ensure a safe patient care environment.
• Upholding strict patient privacy and confidentiality in line with healthcare legislation.
• Undertaking additional duties within scope to support efficient ward/unit operations.
