Haematology Clinic is seeking a caring and motivated Registered Nurse to join our specialist haematology clinic in Bentleigh East. This role involves providing care to patients undergoing IV infusions, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, iron infusions, venesection, blood products, and supportive haematology treatments in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate with specialist haematologists and the clinic team to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to individuals with blood disorders and blood cancers.

Key Duties:

• Administering IV infusions, subcutaneous injections, and intramuscular injections as required, including chemotherapy.
• Conducting patient assessments and monitoring.
• Assisting with various haematology procedures, such as bone marrow biopsies, as needed.
• Recognising and managing infusion reactions.
• Providing patient and family education.
• Completing clinical documentation and utilising clinic computer systems.
• Ensuring medication safety and infection control.
• Coordinating care with doctors, pharmacists, pathology providers, and hospitals.

Essential Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience in haematology, infusion, day unit, acute medical nursing, or specialist outpatient nursing.
• Chemotherapy administration training or competency.
• IV cannulation competency.
• Central line care experience.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including electronic medical records, appointment systems, email, and clinical documentation software.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

• Blood product administration experience.
• Interest in haematology and supportive care.

Remuneration:
