The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is seeking a Midwife or Clinical Midwife to join our Northern Midwifery Group Practice. This role supports birthing families at Gawler Health Service and Kapunda Hospital.

Salary:

What We Offer: Join our multi-disciplinary team in a supportive, collaborative environment. If you are passionate about providing women and family-centred clinical care, overseeing patient care plans, and working with a multi-disciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes, this role is for you. Midwives in our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) work across the midwifery continuum, providing caseload continuity of care within a small, dynamic MGP team. You will play a vital role in supporting health service systems, assisting in planning, coordinating, and resolving care or service delivery challenges, and contributing to wider projects such as clinical protocols and process improvements. MGP midwives also support students, new staff, and colleagues, fostering a culture of learning, reflection, and professional development.

About Us: The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network provides opportunities across its sites, from Kangaroo Island to Eudunda, and around metropolitan areas. We are committed to delivering high-quality, safe, consistent, collaborative care with kindness, supported by systems and processes that assure the quality and safety of our staff and those we serve.

Your Contribution: You will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing/midwifery care and case management, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based outcomes. You will provide clinical leadership and coordination within the team/unit, overseeing care delivery, facilitating patient flow, and supporting multi-disciplinary collaboration. You will also support operational and service improvement activities, including change management, problem-solving, and the development of clinical protocols. Contributing to education, mentoring, and workforce development by supporting students, new staff, and less experienced clinicians is also part of this role. You will participate in quality improvement, clinical auditing, research, and evaluation activities to enhance patient outcomes and maintain high standards of clinical practice.

In Return, We Offer:

  • Salary package with a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills, and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.
  • Access to generous leave provisions and professional development opportunities.
  • Support for you and your family via our free Employee Assistance Program.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who:

  • Possess a passion for delivering compassionate, person-centred care that improves the health and wellbeing of patients, clients, and families.
  • Are motivated to lead and support others within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration, positive culture, and high-quality clinical outcomes.
  • Are committed to continuous learning, professional development, and sharing knowledge through mentoring, teaching, and clinical education.
  • Have the drive to contribute to service improvement, innovation, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient care and healthcare delivery.
  • Thrive in a dynamic clinical environment, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills when managing complex care needs.
