Gold Coast Health (GCH) is seeking a Nurse Educator to join its team of 13,000 professionals dedicated to delivering world-class healthcare to the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region.

The Role

This position involves:

• Utilising expert educational knowledge to lead the development, review, and maintenance of education tools and resources.
• Leading the development, implementation, and review of organisational pathways to support the orientation, onboarding, and clinical progression of both novice and experienced staff.
• Collaborating with other Nurse Educators, Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Facilitators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Providing expert guidance in conjunction with senior nursing leadership.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will need:

• A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• A Masters or higher qualification in a relevant area is highly desirable.
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Effective computer skills for using clinical information systems and other relevant applications.
• Evidence of vaccination, or the ability to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.
• Tuberculosis screening to determine if tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
• Disclosure of any serious disciplinary history is required.
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover the cost).

Salary

• Permanent full-time position.
• Base salary ranges from $136,538 to $148,242 per annum, plus 12.75% superannuation.

The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit (NMERU) is responsible for developing a skilled nursing and midwifery workforce to provide evidence-based, person-focused care. The unit operates under the Director of Nursing NMERU and is part of the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Experience.
