A full-time vacancy, either ongoing or fixed for up to 2 years, is available within the Department of Health's Prison Health – Primary Health Care team in Alice Springs.

In this role, you will lead a nursing team responsible for delivering evidence-based primary health care services to clients within the Women’s Correctional Centre and Reintegration Facility at the Alice Springs Correctional Centre. This position requires extensive experience, skills, and knowledge in contemporary custodial primary health care, including relevant legislation, coupled with demonstrated advanced leadership and clinical capabilities.

To be successful, you will possess:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for registration.
• Advanced clinical knowledge and management skills to support well-developed decision-making for the delivery of high-quality clinical services.
• Well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences, and sensitivities impacting health care provision for clients and their families.
• Experience in operational planning and proficient management of human, material, and financial resources to support operational effectiveness and the achievement of organisational objectives.
