Nurse Unit Manager - Bright

Alpine Health is seeking a dynamic and innovative Nurse Unit Manager for a part-time, onsite role in Bright. The salary is between $64 – $69 per year. This position is ongoing and may be offered as a job share or flexible part-time arrangement.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead acute care and shape a strengthened multidisciplinary service. Alpine Health is investing in service enhancements, including the employment of a dedicated Social Worker and the establishment of a new Allied Health team, to support the Nurse Unit Manager role and foster a sustainable and supported leadership environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership to a skilled acute care nursing team.
  • Coordinate high-quality clinical care and manage the day-to-day operations of the unit.
  • Offer strong clinical leadership that promotes safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Lead and support nursing staff to foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
  • Oversee unit operations, including staffing, patient flow, and resource management.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, accreditation requirements, and organisational policies.
  • Work closely with medical, allied health, and support services to optimise care delivery.
  • Contribute to service planning, change initiatives, and workforce development.

About You: You are an experienced nurse leader who brings:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience in a nursing leadership or management role.
  • Strong clinical governance knowledge and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to lead teams through change with confidence and empathy.
  • A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.
  • A commitment to professional development and contemporary practice.
