Casual positions are available for a Registered Midwife at Gold Coast Private Hospital. The hourly rate is $41.49 - $52.97, plus superannuation and a 23% casual loading. Subsidised meals and parking are provided.

About the Role Gold Coast Private Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Midwife to join its team on a casual basis, contributing to the provision of excellent patient care. This role involves night shift duties, typically between 21:00 and 07:30, with hours ranging from 10 to 40 per fortnight.

Your Duties Will Include

• Providing high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women across diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds.
• Planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve defined goals and health outcomes.
• Supervising, directing, and guiding junior nurses and undergraduate midwives in the provision of midwifery care.
• Collaborating with the broader healthcare team to support patient care needs.

Essential Criteria

• Birth suite competent.
• 2 years post graduate experience.
• Experience working as a midwife.
• Excellent communication and clinical skills.
• AHPRA registration.
