Registered Nurse - Residential Aged Care K-Life Killarney, QLD $50 – $55 per hour Full-time

K-Life is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time position in residential aged care. Part-time or casual arrangements may be considered.

The primary responsibility involves leading the clinical team and collaborating with support teams, allied health, and medical services to deliver holistic care to residents. What You'll Contribute: As a Registered Nurse with K-Life, you will provide strong clinical leadership and oversight of resident care, ensuring the delivery of person-led, evidence-based, and holistic care. You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including peer RNs, ENs, and PCWs, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking primary responsibility for Case Management, supporting residents in actively leading their care and wellness plans, prioritising individual choices, goals, and preferences to promote autonomy and dignity.
  • Conducting risk assessments and clinical reviews.
  • Participating in open disclosure and quality improvement processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with AN-ACC documentation for accurate funding.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary input for integrated care planning.

You will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change, possess a strong understanding of the evolving aged care environment and awareness of the new Aged Care Standards. Proactive engagement in ongoing education to stay current with evidence-based best practice is expected. A compassionate and respectful approach to resident care, alongside being a team player contributing to a positive workplace culture, is essential.
