About the Role

Make a tangible difference for students and industry by joining us as a Diploma of Nursing Teacher. This role is located at the Bendigo City Campus.

As a Diploma of Nursing Teacher, you will be instrumental in preparing the next generation of nurses for fulfilling careers in healthcare. Within our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE), you will deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences that integrate nursing theory with practical skill development.

Utilising a blended learning approach, you will guide students through pre-class theoretical content before bringing learning to life in the classroom and simulation environments. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating and assessing essential clinical skills, facilitating meaningful discussions, and supporting students in building the confidence, knowledge, and professional behaviours necessary for contemporary nursing practice.

You will also contribute to the design and ongoing improvement of learning materials, assessments, and teaching resources, ensuring that training remains relevant, industry-aligned, and engaging. Collaborating with Program Leads and fellow educators, you will support positive student outcomes and contribute to shaping high-quality nursing education at one of Victoria's leading TAFE providers.

BKI is seeking an exceptional Diploma of Nursing Teacher to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) team at Bendigo City Campus. You will teach prospective nurses and inspire the next generation. You will be working in ultra-modern facilities, equipped with simulated labs and specialist equipment designed for training future healthcare professionals. Our staff contribute extensive experience and knowledge to educate and foster student growth.

• Qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to enrol
• Registered Nurse
• AHPRA registration
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Specialty (desirable)

• Experience and Knowledge:
• Experience working in acute nursing practice is preferable.
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• An understanding of cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity.
• The ability to identify language, literacy, and numeracy issues.
• The capacity to adapt communication style to suit audience and context.
• The ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders.
• An understanding of the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning, and their application to supplement learning programs.
• The ability to use digital learning for administrative functions, communication, collaboration, and presentations.
• Provision and maintenance of a current driver's licence where relevant.
