Assistant Cafe Manager - East Fremantle
Company: Dome Coffees Australia Location: East Fremantle Work Type: Full-time On-site/Remote: On-site
Dome Coffees Australia is seeking an Assistant Cafe Manager for its East Fremantle location. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for individuals with the right mindset, even if they do not have prior management experience.
Some individuals perceive a café as merely a collection of tables and chairs. Others, however, sense its dynamic energy, observe the patrons, and anticipate the next necessary action. If you align with the latter, this opportunity may be for you.
We are searching for Assistant Managers capable of leading shifts with enthusiasm, a constructive outlook, and a dedication to maximising team potential and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Formal management experience is not a prerequisite; your core attributes are paramount, and we will provide the necessary training.
This position is suited for individuals who:
- Excel in vibrant, high-paced settings.
- Demonstrate a commitment to thoroughness, even during demanding periods.
- Proactively offer assistance without explicit direction.
- Maintain composure, positivity, and a problem-solving approach under pressure.
- Possess a genuine concern for guest satisfaction beyond the products served.
Previous experience in fast food, retail, cafés, delis, restaurants, or any environment where teamwork, pace, and resilience were key, is relevant. If you have been a dependable team member, we can equip you with the rest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading shifts from the operational floor.
- Providing support and motivation to a diverse team during peak service times.
- Contributing wherever necessary, including at the point of sale, in the kitchen, or on the floor.
- Assisting the Café Manager with cost management.
- Upholding the high standards Dôme is recognised for consistently.
Comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, and dedicated support will be provided to facilitate your development in this role.
What We Offer:
- Permanent full-time employment, comprising 5 shifts per week.
- Practical leadership development and mentorship.
- A work environment founded on respect, fairness, and collaboration.
- A position that acknowledges effort, fosters growth, and values its people.
This role is not suitable for those who:
- Prefer slower-paced or highly predictable work.
- Are disinclined to be actively on their feet and engaged on the floor.
- Tend to avoid responsibility during busy periods.
If you are prepared to advance, learn rapidly, and contribute to an organisation that genuinely values its staff, we encourage you to apply.
Application Instructions: A cover letter is required, detailing why you would be an excellent fit for this role, rather than solely listing past employment.
