ALH is seeking a floor-focused, highly motivated Assistant Manager for the Chester Hill Hotel. This role is for a hospitality professional ready to assume a leadership position within a busy community venue. The Chester Hill Hotel is described as a local staple, experiencing constant activity from weekend sports crowds, lunch trade, and premier gaming operations. The ideal candidate will be a versatile leader, comfortable managing the floor, maintaining high service standards, and building rapport with patrons.

A Day in the Life of an Assistant Manager:

• Develop strong relationships with regular patrons.
• Assist the Publican in ensuring the smooth, safe, and positive operation of the hotel.
• Gain experience in Publican duties while leading a team.
• Proactively address issues to prevent escalation.
• Contribute energy, service, and positive interactions during each shift.

Inherent Requirements:

This is a hands-on role requiring manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must possess the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You:

• Experience in bar, bistro, or gaming room environments, with potential prior supervisory experience.
• A desire to build upon learnings from previous management roles and advance.
• Possess the confidence, pride, and interpersonal skills necessary to represent the pub in the Publican's absence.
• Hold a current RSA, RSG/RCG, and ARCG as required by state regulations.
• Enthusiasm for learning, leading, and contributing to the success of the venue.
