Conveniently situated within Sydney’s CBD, Darling Harbour, Darling Square, and ICC precincts, Novotel Sydney Darling Square is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Front Office team. Job Description

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the Front Office Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the front desk, including check-ins/outs, loyalty sign-ups, reporting, and assisting with guest needs.
  • Supervise and manage the front office team during shifts, including onboarding and training.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service is delivered to all guests, with a focus on driving loyalty.
  • Effectively manage emergency situations within the hotel, adhering to hotel procedures and processes.

Qualifications:

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive and dedicated Front Office Manager who is committed to mentoring and developing their team.

What we are looking for:

  • A strong background in Front Office procedures and Opera Cloud.
  • Experience in supervising, training, and motivating team members.
  • The ability to act independently on all matters relating to team and guest safety and wellbeing in the absence of senior management.
  • High-level communication skills and the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Manager role, or as a Front Office Supervisor, is ideal.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holiday periods.
