ALH is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Golden Beach Tavern. This is an onsite, full-time role located in Golden Beach, offering an attractive salary, superannuation, and a half-yearly bonus.

This position is for a hospitality professional ready to manage operations at a busy coastal venue. The Golden Beach Tavern is a high-performing venue requiring a leader experienced in fast-paced environments, capable of directing a team. The role involves overseeing a busy trade, including live music, bistro service, gaming, and retail operations. The successful candidate will possess strong operational skills, maintain high standards, and ensure excellent hospitality for patrons.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager involves:

• Building rapport with local patrons.
• Supporting the Publican in smooth, safe, and positive venue operations.
• Learning Publican responsibilities while leading a team.
• Proactively addressing and resolving issues.
• Delivering high energy, service, and positive interactions during shifts.

Inherent Requirements: This is a hands-on role that includes manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must be capable of performing physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• Experience in bar, bistro, or gaming room operations, with potential prior supervisory experience.
• Readiness to advance from learning under experienced managers.
• Confidence, pride, and people skills to represent the pub in the Publican's absence.
• Possession of a current RSA/RSG, RMLV, and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.
