About the Role Cornerstone Health is seeking a motivated and capable Assistant Manager for its Our Medical centre in Penrith. This role will involve supporting the daily operations of the medical centre, ensuring high-quality patient service and efficient administrative processes. The Assistant Manager will work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and provide guidance and support to the reception and administration team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment and develop leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and support front-of-house operations.
- Complete daily administrative and operational tasks across the medical centre.
- Support the Practice Manager with supervision, training, and mentoring of administration staff.
- Act as a role model within the team, promoting professionalism and service excellence.
- Ensure efficient workflows and support the implementation of new initiatives and improvements.
About You The ideal candidate is a proactive and service-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You possess strong organisational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead by example.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with Best Practice or similar practice management systems (desirable).
- A sound understanding of Medicare processes.
- Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Experience supporting or managing team members.
