ALH is seeking a driven Assistant Manager for the Surfers Paradise Beergarden, a prominent, high-volume entertainment venue. This onsite, full-time role requires an individual who excels in fast-paced environments and can effectively lead a large team.

The Surfers Paradise Beergarden is an entertainment flagship venue, catering to diverse crowds including major live sports spectators, high-turnover holiday patrons, and gaming operations. The role demands a leader with strong operational instincts, capable of maintaining high standards and ensuring an exceptional guest experience during every shift.

A Day in the Life:

• Build rapport with regular patrons.
• Assist the Publican in maintaining smooth, safe, and enjoyable pub operations.
• Gain experience towards becoming a Publican while leading a team.
• Proactively address and resolve issues.
• Consistently contribute energy, service, and a positive attitude.

Inherent Requirements:

This is a hands-on position involving regular manual handling and lifting, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must be capable of performing these physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You:

• Experience in bar, bistro, or gaming room operations, with prior supervisory experience being advantageous.
• A desire to build upon learnings from previous management roles.
• Possess the confidence, pride, and interpersonal skills to represent the venue in the Publican's absence.
• Hold a current RSA/RSG, RMLV, and Approved Managers Licence as required by state regulations.
