ALH is seeking a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager for a high-volume, community-favourite venue in North Queensland. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional ready to lead in a fast-paced environment and coordinate a large team effectively.
Our Townsville venues are successful local establishments. They require leaders who can thrive in high-energy trade, managing busy periods such as sporting events, family dining rushes, and premium gaming operations. The successful candidate will possess sharp operational instincts, maintain high standards, and ensure both local regulars and visitors receive excellent hospitality during every shift.
A Day in the Life of an Assistant Manager:
- Develop strong relationships with local patrons.
- Support the Publican in ensuring smooth, safe operations and a positive atmosphere.
- Learn the responsibilities of a Publican while leading a team of hospitality professionals.
- Proactively address and resolve issues.
- Contribute energy, excellent service, and a welcoming demeanour during every shift.
Inherent Requirements:
This is a hands-on position that includes manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must be capable of performing physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About You:
- Experience in bar, bistro, or gaming room operations, with some supervisory experience desirable.
- A desire to build upon learning from experienced managers.
- Confidence, pride, and strong people skills to represent the venue in the Publican's absence.
- Possession of a current RSA/RSG, RMLV, and Approved Managers Licence as required by state regulations.

Salary: Starting from $80,000 + Super + Half-yearly bonus.
