Assistant Venue Manager - Vikings Sports Club
Parramatta Leagues PTY LTD is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager for a full-time, onsite position at Vikings Sports Club in Dundas.
This role involves supporting the General Manager (GM) of Vikings Sports Club in delivering exceptional member and patron experiences, and fostering business growth through the implementation and innovation of gaming and food and beverage services.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as a key advisor and second-in-command to the GM.
- Leading and mentoring staff, with a focus on proactively identifying training and development needs.
- Identifying opportunities for business improvements, proposing innovative ideas to enhance operational procedures and member experience.
- Assisting the GM in managing the licensed club premises, overseeing staffing, cleaning, security, and repairs/maintenance, ensuring WHS standards are met for the safety of staff and patrons.
- Supporting the GM with budgeting, financial forecasting, and increasing venue profitability.
- Developing and maintaining positive member relations, including managing patron and member complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Enforcing all AML/CTF, Legislation, Self-Exclusion, and member welfare checks.
- Updating roster templates based on operational requirements to ensure efficient operations during trade and excellent customer service across all club areas.
- Ensuring staff and patrons adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and legislation.
About you:
- Possess strong business acumen, strategic planning, and financial reporting skills.
- Have experience in a similar operational leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrate a passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Exhibit inspiring and influential leadership and management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
- Hold extensive knowledge of operations across all club departments, including gaming and food and beverage services, and all relevant legislation.
- Hold RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG, Licensee, and First Aid Certificates.
- A Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in a management-related discipline is desirable.
