Bar Manager – Upmarket Cocktail Bar – CBD
Frontline Hospitality Sydney is seeking a Bar Manager for a full-time, on-site position at a high-volume, trendy classic operation in Sydney NSW. This establishment offers a diverse experience encompassing food, beverage, functions, and entertainment, with significant evening and night trade. The role is ideal for an experienced operator who thrives in a dynamic environment with a large team and a broad range of cocktail knowledge.
The successful candidate will enjoy being visible on the floor, embracing the energy of nightlife, crafting sophisticated beverages, building strong teams, and ensuring guests receive consistently high standards of service. You will collaborate with senior management to support daily operations, foster staff development, and contribute to performance across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading shifts within a diverse hospitality setting.
- Supporting and developing frontline teams.
- Upholding standards for service, cocktail presentation, and compliance.
- Assisting with food and beverage operations, and function execution.
- Addressing customer concerns and operational challenges as they occur.
- Contributing to a positive team culture and enhancing guest experiences.
- Training and developing new staff on cocktail etiquette and knowledge.
- Managing stock control and Cost of Goods Sold for products.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous management or leadership experience in a cocktail bar or lounge bar.
- A strong understanding of cocktail knowledge and presentation.
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy trading periods.
- A hands-on approach to leadership and team development.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ambition for continued development in hospitality management.
