The Castle Tavern is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Bistro & Bar Staff to join our team in Edwardstown. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements. You will be integral to our hospitality operations, delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards of professionalism and cleanliness. This role is key to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every customer enjoys their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve beverages and food items to customers promptly, in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately take customer orders and process payments using point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in the bar and bistro areas.
• Prepare and present drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Restock bar supplies and ensure adequate stock levels throughout your shift.
• Clear and reset tables promptly to maximise customer seating and turnover.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
• Respond to customer requests and resolve concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth service during busy periods.
• Adhere to responsible service of alcohol guidelines and venue policies.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a bar, bistro, or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, or willingness to develop this knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle items safely.
• Responsible service of alcohol certification or willingness to obtain this qualification.
• High standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility with scheduling.
• Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training provided).
• Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively and support colleagues.
