About the Role

This full-time, onsite position in Melbourne VIC focuses on creating customer experiences through team engagement. You will be the hands-on Catering Manager for the retail and functions catering service at a prestigious boys' college in Toorak, Melbourne. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will leverage collaborative leadership and strategic planning to manage a large, dedicated team. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring continuous improvement in food quality and service standards.
• Managing logistics and operations.
• Overseeing employee development.
• Managing budgets.
• Exceeding client expectations through innovation in functions, conferencing, retail food products, and service delivery.

About You

You are a hospitality professional who achieves results through collaborative leadership. To succeed in this role, you will require:

• Significant management experience in the hospitality or food service industry.
• An outstanding ability to coordinate and facilitate events.
• A strong client service focus, demonstrated through exceptional communication skills.
• Strong business and financial management skills.
• Proven experience managing people and challenging situations in a constantly changing and dynamic environment.
• Flexibility with working hours, as some out-of-hours functions may be required.
