Chiosco by Ormeggio, an Italian trattoria situated on the Mosman waterfront at The Spit, is seeking an experienced Section Waiter. We are recognised for our fresh seafood, house-made pasta, relaxed ambiance, and genuine hospitality, offering an authentic Italian dining experience in a picturesque Sydney setting.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for hospitality, Italian cuisine, and providing exceptional guest experiences to join our friendly and professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting and resetting tables according to venue standards.
• Confidently managing your assigned section during service.
• Accurately taking food and beverage orders.
• Efficiently clearing and resetting tables throughout service.
• Providing informed recommendations for food and wine pairings.
• Delivering warm, attentive, and professional customer service.
• Preparing and serving quality coffee to venue standards.
• Assisting the broader team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Section Waiter in a busy restaurant.
• Previous experience working with Italian cuisine is preferred.
• Solid food and wine knowledge, with the capacity to recommend pairings.
• The ability to safely and confidently carry three plates.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• An energetic, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• A current NSW RSA Certificate is mandatory.
• Full Australian working rights with no employment restrictions.
• Experience using the SevenRooms reservation system is advantageous.

Employment Details:

• Work type: Casual
• Hours: Approximately 25–35 hours per week.
• Location: Mosman (onsite)
• An immediate start is available for the suitable candidate.
