Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Part-Time Demi Chef to join our kitchen team. This role presents a valuable opportunity for a culinary professional to advance their career and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a dynamic, high-quality setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes according to hotel standards.
- Working across different kitchen sections as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
- Supporting senior chefs in daily operations, including inventory and stock rotation.
- Ensuring consistency and quality in all served dishes.
- Contributing to a positive kitchen atmosphere and assisting in the training of junior staff when required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar capacity within a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong technical culinary knowledge with experience in various cooking techniques and styles.
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Effective communication and organisational skills, coupled with a team-oriented approach.
- A passion for food and a commitment to learning and development.
- Proven ability to uphold food safety standards and an understanding of HACCP principles.
