About Us Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney, part of the Amora Hotels Group, is a 415-room, five-star luxury hotel situated in the Sydney CBD, adjacent to Wynyard station. We offer multiple Food and Beverage outlets, Bars, Conferencing facilities, and recreational amenities including an indoor pool, spa, and sauna. Founded in 1997, the Amora group operates seven Asia Pacific properties, with plans to double its portfolio in five years. Our inaugural corporate office in Sydney will lead this growth.

The Role As a Front Office Duty Manager, you will manage various shifts at the Front Desk, collaborating closely with all hotel departments. You will lead the Guest Service Agent team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and uphold Amora Customer Service standards. Your leadership will inspire the Front Office team to professionally handle guest inquiries and feedback, creating memorable experiences.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and decision-maker during your shift, overseeing all hotel operations including check-in, check-out, and cashiering.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by guiding the team to deliver high-quality service.
  • Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the hotel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and optimise hotel operations.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Solid knowledge of all Rooms Division areas, including Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, and Guest Services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and manage hotel operations effectively.
  • Capacity to take appropriate actions concerning the safety, security, and well-being of hotel guests, patrons, and staff in the absence of senior management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations.
  • Good understanding of revenue management, with the ability to control room rates and availability via Opera PMS & Channel Manager.
  • Excellent computer system skills, including working knowledge of Opera Cloud or Opera Server PMS (or similar).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities and handle complaints effectively.

Why Join Us?

  • Ideal CBD location.
  • Duty meal, uniform, and other benefits.
  • Opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation.
