The Role

As a Duty Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the smooth operation of the venue during your shifts.
• Ensuring high standards of service, team performance, and guest experience.
• Reporting to the Venue Manager and working closely with the Assistant Venue Manager and other Duty Managers.
• Supporting and leading the Front of House team on shift.
• Maintaining a hands-on presence on the floor, particularly during peak service periods, to set a tone of professionalism, energy, and genuine hospitality.
• Ensuring the venue operates safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with shift-based labour management, stock control, and daily operational procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with venue standards and contributing to overall KPI performance.
• Supporting rosters and maintaining presentation standards.
• Ensuring systems and processes are consistently followed.
• Playing a key role in executing events, promotions, and service initiatives.
• Ensuring every guest experience reflects the Goldy's standard.
• Handling guest feedback and resolving issues in real time.
• Maintaining compliance and supporting team development.
• Contributing to a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

• A hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced venue.
• Someone who takes pride in running a smooth shift.
• Experienced in high-volume environments, with the ability to balance great service with keeping the team on track.
• Organised and proactive.
• Comfortable using POS systems and possessing a good understanding of labour, stock, and day-to-day operations.
• Someone who takes ownership of their shifts and ensures standards are met across service, presentation, and compliance.
• A floor leader who remains calm under pressure, is approachable, and quick to find solutions.
• Supportive of the team, willing to jump in when needed, and capable of maintaining a positive atmosphere during busy service.
