Duty Manager

About the Role
Dural Club seeks a hands-on, experienced hospitality leader for the Duty Manager position. This role serves as the primary link between senior management and daily operations, ensuring the venue runs smoothly during your shift. You will act as the point of escalation for guests, staff, and contractors, utilising your customer focus and operational judgment to uphold service standards, compliance, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure staff and patrons adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Oversee AML/CTF, responsible gambling, self-exclusion, and member welfare requirements.
- Direct staff during shifts, manage breaks, and support team performance according to operational needs.
- Cultivate positive relationships with members and guests, professionally managing complaints.
- Coordinate external contractors, security, and facilities matters while maintaining WHS standards.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, prepare shift reports, and conduct handovers.
- Respond to first aid and emergency situations, documenting incidents accurately.
- Reconcile tills and floats, manage cash flow, report cash variations, and complete banking.
- Ensure functions, events, and promotions are set up, resourced, and communicated to staff.
- Oversee gaming operations, including clearances, machine troubleshooting, and fault reporting.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or duty management role within hospitality, clubs, or a similar environment.
- Strong operational knowledge across club departments, including gaming, food and beverage, compliance, and customer service.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional member and guest experiences.
- Confident, visible, and supportive leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing team members.
- Current RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG, Licensee, and Advanced Licensee competencies.
- Current First Aid Certificate and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
- A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a management-related discipline will be highly regarded.
