Ca Phe Mai Pty Ltd is seeking experienced floor staff to join the opening team at its new contemporary Vietnamese cafe and wine bar located in Double Bay.

About Us Cà Phê Mai operates as a busy specialty coffee and all-day dining service by day, transforming into a casual wine bar with small plates, cocktails, and a wine list focused on small producers from France, Italy, and other regions by night.

The Role This is a casual position with shifts available across breakfast and lunch services (Tuesday–Saturday, 7am–3pm) and dinner service (Tuesday–Saturday, 5pm–10pm). The roster can be tailored to suit your preferences, covering both day and evening shifts or focusing on one.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Managing sections during busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Taking orders, providing menu recommendations, and confidently selling menu items.
• Pouring and discussing wine during evening service.
• Maintaining the dining room's presentation, pace, and readiness for service.

About You

• Experience in fast-paced, elevated casual dining is essential. You should be comfortable with busy services and maintain high standards throughout.
• You are warm and professional on the floor, without being overly formal.
• Wine knowledge is a real advantage, particularly for evening shifts. Genuine interest and a willingness to learn are valued, as training on the wine list will be provided.
• You are reliable, well-presented, and work well within a small, close-knit team.
• Weekend availability is required.
