This established business is dedicated to providing high-quality food, excellent customer service, and a positive dining experience within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role involves overseeing daily operations, supporting business growth, and upholding strong service standards, staff development, operational efficiency, workplace safety, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Description The Fast Food Store Manager will be responsible for organising, managing, and controlling the overall operations of McDonald’s Cooma. This includes ensuring efficient store operation, maintaining high service standards, effective staff management, and achieving business performance objectives. The role demands strong leadership, operational management skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced fast food setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising staff.
• Managing stock and financial records.
• Supporting marketing and promotional activities.
• Maintaining service standards.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
• Determining appropriate product mix, stock levels, and service standards to meet customer demand and business requirements.
• Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies to support business operations and sales growth.
• Promoting and advertising the establishment’s goods and services to increase customer awareness and business performance.
• Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on products and services where required.
• Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, sales performance, and daily operational activities.
• Undertaking budgeting and assisting with financial planning to support the efficient operation of the establishment.
• Controlling the selection, training, supervision, and performance management of staff.
• Preparing staff rosters and ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
• Monitoring customer service standards and implementing improvements where required.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, food safety standards, workplace policies, and company procedures.
• Managing day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable business performance.
• Addressing customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
• Supporting staff development and maintaining a positive, productive, and safe workplace environment.
• Organising and controlling the operations of the retail trading establishment in accordance with business goals and operational standards.

Requirements The successful candidate must possess one of the following:

• An Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma qualification, plus at least one year of relevant full-time work experience.
• At least three years of relevant full-time work experience.

Additional Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a fast food, retail, hospitality, or store management role.
• Strong leadership, staff supervision, and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage stock, budgets, rosters, and daily business operations.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet business targets and maintain high operational standards.

Employment Details

• Salary: $90,000 – $95,000 per year plus superannuation.
• Work type: Full-time.
• Location: Cooma (onsite).
