Huzzah is a neighbourhood bar located in Glen Iris, committed to exceptional drinks, quality food, genuine hospitality, and a refined yet relaxed service experience. We aim to be a welcoming local destination where craft beers, seasonal cocktails, curated wines, and premium spirits are complemented by thoughtful and friendly service. As we expand, we are looking for a Supervisor to assist in leading our front-of-house team and contributing to our ongoing development.

The Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to support daily operations, guide service delivery, and foster a strong, cohesive team environment. You will collaborate closely with management to ensure seamless service, uphold high standards across the bar and floor areas, and contribute to the training and development of junior staff. This position presents a valuable opportunity for an individual ready to advance into a leadership role within a venue that values growth, creativity, and hospitality excellence. This is primarily a service-focused role, with regular working days from Wednesday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations and floor service.
• Lead by example in providing warm, efficient, and professional service.
• Train, mentor, and support front-of-house staff.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge across beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits.
• Address guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.

About You

• Possess at least 2 years of experience as a senior bartender, section waiter, or FOH supervisor.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of beer, wine, or general beverages, or a willingness to acquire this knowledge rapidly.
• Exhibit natural leadership qualities coupled with a calm, hands-on approach.
• Show passion for hospitality and the guest experience.
• Possess strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Hold a current RSA certificate.
• Express a desire to grow into hospitality leadership and venue management.

We are open to training individuals who demonstrate energy, initiative, and a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, even if they are not yet fully formed managers.
