Freycinet Lodge is an eco-lodge situated within Freycinet National Park, close to Wineglass Bay on Tasmania's East Coast. The Lodge comprises 70 rooms and a main lodge, designed around a waterfront setting beneath The Hazards mountain range. Located approximately 2.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Freycinet Lodge is near the popular town of Coles Bay.
Role Description We are seeking multiple casual team members to join us over the coming months. We welcome applications from couples and offer staff accommodation. This is a great opportunity for local candidates.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to contribute to the outstanding service we are known for. A commitment of at least six months, including availability during the Christmas and New Year festive period, is ideal.
We are seeking versatile individuals with experience as:
- Fine Dining Wait Staff, comfortable in a high-end hospitality setting.
- Experienced Bartenders with a focus on premium service.
Our team also conducts private wine tastings for guests, requiring strong wine knowledge.
Key Responsibilities You may be assigned to various food and beverage outlets, providing exceptional service with a welcoming approach. You will engage with guests and customers on an individual basis, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. Daily duties include:
- Performing general waiting and service duties for food and beverages.
- Ensuring accurate processing of dockets and cashiering.
- Setting up and resetting restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required.
Candidate Profile We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Food and beverage service experience, with an appreciation for showcasing local produce.
- Strong bar, cocktail, and mixology experience.
- An understanding of sequence of service principles and general service operations.
- Barista skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of orders efficiently.
- A vibrant attitude and the capacity to work effectively within a busy team.
- A genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products, including spirits, beer, and wine.
- A track record of providing excellent customer service and engaging in conversations with guests.
- A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
- A Do Food Safely Certificate of completion.
- Flexibility regarding work hours over a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
