We are seeking energetic, passionate, and conscientious Food & Beverage (F&B) Attendants to join our F&B team at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and customer-focused service to all State Sport Centres patrons. This includes serving food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, preparing and cooking food, cleaning, and handling cash.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a representative for our cafés and catering services, interacting with all customers professionally and enthusiastically.
- Process food and beverage orders using POS systems, and reconcile receipts and payments.
- Efficiently serve food and beverages to patrons.
- Serve food, cold beverages, and hot beverages according to required procedures and/or recipes.
- Adhere to hygienic food and beverage handling procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all food preparation areas, benches, and equipment, and clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
- Communicate and liaise with team members, the kitchen, and other operational areas.
- Always adhere to the responsible service of alcohol and licensing provisions and standards.
- Use relevant equipment in accordance with appropriate OHS Standards.
- Undertake other duties as directed by management.

Successful candidates will possess experience and thrive in busy café and catering environments. Your skills should encompass coffee making, food service, and providing exceptional face-to-face customer service. We are looking for individuals who go above and beyond to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. In return, you will work across our impressive facilities as part of a vibrant and supportive F&B team. Our facilities operate seven days a week, so flexibility in structuring your weekly shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
Skills & Required Qualifications:
- Responsible Serving of Alcohol
- Working with Children Check
- Knowledge and experience of front-of-house catering operations
- Knowledge of coffee making
- Prior café experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Recognised Barista qualification or equivalent experience in utilising a commercial coffee machine and preparing coffees. (Note: This does not deter recruitment).
