Job Summary

Hyegrove is seeking a Food Services Assistant with prior experience to join our hospitality team on a part-time basis. In this dynamic and multifaceted role, you will demonstrate pride in your work, exhibit a friendly and positive demeanour, and maintain a strong commitment to resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to deliver superior catering services for residents and their guests.
  • Provide assistance with daily food preparation and fundamental meal assembly.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional kitchen environment, including dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas.
  • Serve resident meals and snacks, ensuring accuracy for residents with specific dietary requirements.
  • Contribute as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by fostering a professional and positive team culture.
  • Adhere to meal reports and work schedules.
  • Cultivate robust and productive working relationships within the team to ensure a positive dining experience.

About You:

  • Possess strong attention to detail and effective organisational skills to support precise and timely meal service.
  • Hold a Basic Food Safety qualification (required; must be current or obtained within one month of commencement).
  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy. Our teams are driven by a passion for their work and the positive impact they have on residents and their families.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure optimal resident experience and effective teamwork.
  • Be capable of contributing to a positive dining experience, encompassing meal presentation, resident engagement, and maintaining the cleanliness of the servery and dining areas.
  • Possess sound knowledge of food safety standards, including safe food handling, storage, and infection control practices.
