ALH is seeking a Gaming Manager for the Austral Hotel in Mackay. This role offers an attractive salary plus superannuation and a half-yearly bonus.

The Austral Hotel is looking for a dedicated Gaming Manager to assume full operational responsibility for its high-performing gaming room and to lead a service-oriented team. This position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

The Austral is a prominent regional venue. The ideal candidate will be a floor-focused leader who thrives on player engagement, prioritises gaming room presentation, and excels at delivering exceptional hospitality while fostering strong local relationships with regular patrons. This is not an administrative role.

A Day in the Life of a Gaming Manager:

• Build rapport with regulars, making them feel welcome.
• Collaborate with the Publican to ensure smooth, safe, and compliant operation of the gaming room.
• Share gaming expertise to develop the team's capabilities.
• Contribute positive energy, excellent service, and a friendly demeanour during every shift.

Inherent Requirements:

This role is hands-on and involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must be capable of performing physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You:

• You have prior experience in a gaming room environment, whether as an attendant, supervisor, or manager.
• You have learned from experienced managers and are ready to advance your career.
• You possess the confidence, pride, and interpersonal skills to represent the gaming room.
• You have a thorough understanding of compliance and safe gaming practices.
• You hold a current RSA and RSG/RCG as required by state regulations.
