Gaming Room Manager

The Torquay Hotel, a premier destination on the Surf Coast known for its exceptional food, beverage, gaming, and live entertainment, is seeking an experienced and passionate Gaming Manager to join its leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in hospitality, leads proactively, and is committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences while upholding the highest standards of compliance.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the gaming room, lead the team, and ensure an exceptional experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the gaming room.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the gaming team to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Ensure full compliance with Victorian gaming legislation, Responsible Gambling requirements, and venue policies.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Responsible Gambling practices and promote a safe gaming environment.
• Complete gaming reports, reconciliations, and regulatory documentation accurately and on time.
• Monitor gaming equipment to ensure it is clean, well maintained, and operating efficiently.
• Build positive relationships with patrons while providing a welcoming, professional environment.
• Manage customer concerns with confidence and professionalism.
• Liaise with venue leadership, group management, and relevant industry support services.
• Assist with labour management and staff performance.
• Drive high presentation standards throughout the gaming room.

About You:

You will be an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading people and creating a positive team culture. You will also bring:

• Previous experience as a Gaming Attendant, Gaming Supervisor, or Gaming Manager.
• Strong leadership skills with the confidence to motivate and develop your team.
• A genuine passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A thorough understanding of Victorian gaming legislation and Responsible Gambling obligations.
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Current Victorian RSA, RSG Modules, and Gaming Licence.
