Frontline Hospitality Queensland is seeking a General Manager for their boutique venue located in Brisbane QLD. This full-time, onsite position offers a salary of $120k - $130k p.a. plus Super and Accommodation.

This boutique venue provides exclusive event experiences, accommodation, and wellness retreats within a stunning setting. The property features accommodation and a private restaurant dedicated to weddings, functions, retreats, and special events. With existing wedding bookings, the business is entering a growth phase and requires a leader to drive operations and maximise opportunities.

About the Role

The General Manager will be responsible for the daily leadership and commercial success of the venue.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing accommodation operations
• Coordinating housekeeping, caterers, bar staff, and external service providers
• Facilitating weddings, functions, degustation events, and retreats
• Driving venue sales, business development, and marketing initiatives
• Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings and event packages
• Recruiting, training, and leading a high-performing team
• Managing beverage operations, including cocktail service standards
• Maintaining compliance with all hospitality and workplace requirements

Your Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of hospitality operations, people leadership, and commercial acumen.

Essential requirements include:

• Previous experience in a General Manager, Venue Manager, or senior Hospitality Management role
• Strong staff management and leadership capability
• Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business development
• Experience coordinating events, weddings, or functions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work weekends
• Positive, energetic, and hands-on approach
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience within food and beverage operations
• Cocktail and bar management experience is highly regarded
• Current RMLV certification and Food Safety certification
