Evans Head Bowling Club is seeking an experienced and commercially astute General Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of community-focused businesses. Reporting directly to the Board, you will oversee operations across four venues, drive strategic growth and financial performance, and strengthen member and community engagement.

The Club's portfolio includes Evans Head Bowling Club & Cabins, Evans Head Surf Life Saving Club, Pacific Motor Inn, and Evans Head Co-Op. These entities deliver hospitality, accommodation, gaming, entertainment, dining, bowls, functions, and community services to locals and visitors. This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established organisation and help shape its future direction while making a meaningful impact on the Evans Head community.

The Opportunity Working closely with the Board, you will be responsible for leading the overall operation, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring each venue delivers sustainable commercial outcomes while maintaining strong community connections. You will also play a key role in shaping the Club's future direction through strategic planning, asset management, and investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the performance of four community-based venues.
• Drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with the Board to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Mentor and support venue managers and leadership teams.
• Strengthen relationships with members, stakeholders, and the local community.
• Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and reporting.
• Identify and evaluate future growth and investment opportunities.
• Manage capital works and venue development projects.
• Ensure compliance across gaming, liquor, and legislative requirements.

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Senior management experience within licensed clubs, hospitality, or multi-site operations.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Experience driving revenue growth through sales, marketing, and member engagement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of gaming, food and beverage, functions, and hospitality operations.
• Experience developing and implementing business strategies.
• Experience managing capital projects and asset improvements.
• Current gaming and liquor licensing qualifications.
