City Venue Management is seeking a Head Barista for a full-time, onsite position in Townsville. This role offers the chance to work in a highly regarded waterfront location on The Strand.

This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is dedicated to producing consistently high-quality coffee, enjoys team leadership, and prioritises genuine customer service within a vibrant, busy environment.

About the Role

• Oversee daily cafe operations.
• Uphold consistent coffee quality and streamline workflow efficiency.
• Train, support, and manage baristas and front-of-house staff.
• Manage stock levels and place orders.
• Ensure the cafe maintains high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.
• Take responsibility for the entire customer journey, from arrival to departure.

About You

• Previous experience as a Senior or Head Barista is required.
• Confidence in leading and training staff is necessary.
• A bubbly, energetic personality with a passion for fostering a welcoming atmosphere is essential.
• Calm, organised, and reliable attributes are required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary.
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and peak periods is required.
