ALH is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations at the Allenstown Hotel, a central community hub known for its popular pub classics. Located on Upper Dawson Road, the Allenstown Hotel is a family-friendly dining destination featuring the Graziers Steakhouse, a popular spot for families and friends. The menu focuses on a wide selection of steaks, fresh seafood, and classic pub fare, highlighting seasonal produce and sustainable seafood, reminiscent of traditional butcher shops. The establishment prides itself on generous hospitality and customer service.
A Day in the Life of a Head Chef:
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and profitability.
- Collaborate with the Publican and Front of House team as part of the leadership group.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing kitchen team through sharing passion, skills, and creativity.
- Foster positive communication and seamless workflow between the kitchen and front of house to deliver quality food each shift.
Inherent Requirements:
- This is a hands-on role requiring manual handling and lifting, such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries.
- Applicants must be capable of performing physical tasks safely and efficiently.
