ALH is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations at The Miami. This iconic venue, formerly known as Miami Tavern, has been a community hub since 1925, offering elevated pub classics and locally sourced ingredients. Situated on the North Burleigh coast line near Mick Schamburg Park Lookout, The Miami is a newly renovated two-story establishment.

A Day in the Life of a Head Chef:

• Oversee kitchen operations to ensure smooth, safe, and profitable functioning.
• Collaborate with the Publican and Front of House team as a key leadership member.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing kitchen team through sharing expertise and creativity.
• Foster positive working relationships between the kitchen and front of house, ensuring excellent food and atmosphere during every shift.

Inherent Requirements:

This is a hands-on role requiring manual handling, including lifting as part of daily duties such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must be capable of performing physical tasks safely and efficiently.

• You hold trade cooking qualifications and current food safety certifications.
